Family Nature Club at Audubon Zoo

FREE program!

April 30, 2015
In 2015 the Audubon Zoo is connecting your family to nature in even more ways by offering family-centered nature-based play with their all new FREE Family Nature Club at Audubon Zoo and Audubon Park.

What is Family Nature Club? This two hour monthly meeting is inclusive of all families-single parents, extended families, mentors and even friends that feel like families. Family Nature Club will focus on unstructured nature play in a safe haven. Unstructured nature play is child-directed and allows for spontaneous learning. The time at Audubon Zoo or Audubon Park will allow time for children to be free to explore, climb, spin and jump, reflect and observe and even be quiet in appropriate places.

Come join Audubon Zoo in their first Family Nature Club meeting at Audubon Zoo on January 10 at 9:30 am. A zoo educator will meet you at the front gate. Dress appropriately for outdoor play. This club is free to all participants. For more information contact Brenda Walkenhorst at bwalken@auduboninstitute.org.
