Family Fest at Oak Street PoBoy Festival

November 20, 2014
The Oak Street Po-Boy Fest is this Sunday, November 23. If you want to enjoy the fest with the kids but would also love some adult time to wander around without them, the Family Fest at Po-boy Fest is your answer!

St. Andrew's Episcopal School is hosting Family Fest at Po-Boy Fest in conjunction with Oak Street Po-Boy Fest at their school on Sunday, November 23. Enjoy all the fun there and then if you want to escape to Oak St. without the kids, let the wonderful nannies from Nurture Nannies watch them for $10 an hour.

There will be a “family friendly” atmosphere on Cardinal Field at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm! The entrance will be on Carrollton Avenue between Oak and Zimple Streets. Kids can enjoy super fun activities, babysitting by Nurture Nannies for $10 per hour, great food, and yummy kid drinks. Adults can purchase adult libations, too.

It's going to be an incredible event with Amanda Shaw headlining. DJ Burns will open up (and close out), and the Muggivan School of Irish Dance will be performing as well!

For the little ones, there will be the Nurture Nannies Chill Out Room where there will be inside play, storytelling, crafts and babysitting by professional nannies ($10/hour, 2 hour max) for kids under 6, on a first come, first serve basis. For the wee ones, ZukaBaby is sponsoring an infant room with changing tables and a comfortable place to nurse.

There will be face painting by YAYA artists, a big climbing wall, The Wizzer (a 4 seater, self propelled spinning ride), Photo Booth, balloons, cotton candy, and a po-boy created by Brack May of Cowbell. We're calling it Hog Wild, a Cochon de lait-type poboy.

This is a way to enjoy the Oak Street Po-boy Fest with your family! Admission is $5 and under 2 is free.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, the oldest Episcopal School in New Orleans, provides a strong academic program from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Small classes and caring teachers provide a challenging learning environment where children grow intellectually, socially, and spiritually.
