Welcome Baby!

Support group for expectant and new parents

November 20, 2014
Babies don't come with manuals, and when a newborn first arrives, parents are often at a loss for what to do and when to do it. Should I run to the baby every time he/she cries? How often should I feed the baby? Should I cut the baby's nails? How should I care for the umbilical cord?

Welcome Baby is a weekly open discussion/support group for expectant and new parents with children under 1. Meet other families while learning about your options for new parenting and new baby care. Each week, time is spent learning about different pregnancy, breastfeeding, new baby care, or parenting topic, followed by informal time to talk with your peers about current successes and challenges.
Pregnant women get the opportunity to see real parents feeding and caring for their babies. And babies get to roam and play together. “Welcome Baby!” is an excellent space for new families to meet, find support, and get their questions answered.

The group is informal - no sign up or registration necessary. Just drop in on Saturdays, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Rosa Keller Library and Community Center, 4300 S. Broad St.,New Orleans, LA 70125.
