WWII AirPower Expo 2014

October 24 – 26, 2014

October 23, 2014
The WWII AirPower Expo 2014, presented by The National WWII Museum and the Commemorative Air Force, seems like a really cool event for families. I bet lots of kids and adults will be thrilled to see the fully restored classic WWII aircraft planes up close, touch and feel them, climb inside the cockpits, and even strap in for a chance of a lifetime ride along flight (additional tickets required for this). Guests can also view ground vehicles from the Museum's collection including a Jeep, Cle-Trac, Stuart Tank, ambulance, and 2½ Truck.

Families can experience history hands-on with WWII uniforms and gear, plus meet and visit with pilots, veterans, and restoration crews. There will be performances by the Victory Belles throughout the day and food and drink to buy from Messina's.

Here are the details for this weekend:

Friday & Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
New Orleans Lakefront Airport

This must-see event is for one weekend only. Purchase your tickets today as not to miss the chance to see history in flight! Prices are $10 for kids, military, seniors and museum members and $15 for adults.
