City Park Art and Movement

Fall Registration Open for ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop yoga, art, music theater and more!

August 21, 2014
Ok, I have to be honest. Just looking at this picture of City Park Art and Movement owners, Nikki Miner and Kat Ryles, makes me want to run on over and take a class from them. Their big smiles and tutus are totally irresistible!

So if you and your little one (starting at 18 months) are interested in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, yoga, acrobatics, art classes, music theater, or pilates and would love to be taught by happy and positive instructors, this place is for you! Classes are starting September 8 and registration is going on now.

I asked Nikki what she loves about her business and she said, "I love that people, adult and children alike, come to our classes to have a great time despite what is happening in their lives outside the studio. People tell us all the time that we are their happy place."

Since she's a mom, she knows what moms expect for their children and understand completely that they are trusting she and Kat with their most prized possession. Besides classes, they host a Kids Night at the studio every few weeks on a Saturday night to give moms a break. They do art, dance, read books, and have fun!

To all the women out there thinking about starting a business, Nikki says: "Go for it! Being successful at whatever you choose to do is so fulfilling and rewarding, but expect to work very hard and around the clock. When it's YOUR business there is no clocking out. Having a partner to help, especially of you are a mother, is a really good idea!"

City Park Art and Movement is located at 4300 Dumaine St. Call them with any questions at 504-390-7482.
