October 13, 2016
Wondering what to do this Saturday?

Why not head to the French Market for Boo Carre, a FREE totally kid-centric event that has everything needed to make the day a success. Kids get to wear their costume and go trick or treating, check out the animals at the petting zoo, get creative at the craft-making booths, visit at the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Parks Junior Ranger station, meet local children’s authors hosted by Tisket a Tasket book and gift shop, and hear live music! Four acts are scheduled including Johnette Downing. See schedule below.

The fun begins in Dutch Alley, between Dumaine and St. Phillip Streets, with trick-or-treating throughout the French Market District, from the Shops at the Upper Pontalba to the Open Air Market. The event runs 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Children in costume receive a complimentary trick or treating bag (while supplies last) with a list of participating vendors and visit shops along Decatur Street, at Jackson Square, and in the farmers market. Remember, the event is free and open to the public!
