Kid Fun at the Library in New Orleans

4 great events to check out!

Do you visit your local library with your children? If you do, you already know what a truly wonderful resource it is. 
If you don't, put it on your to do list. You can start by glancing over these events and hopefully finding one that interests you. All of the events take place in on of the Orleans Parish libraries. Soon I will have the summer reading program information up on the website for both Jefferson and Orleans parishes.

Kids Code
Are you interested in computers and learning to code? Join Tech Talent South for an afternoon of code every Monday. Each week they'll cover a different topic so come to every class or stop in when you can. This program is limited to kids, 9-13 years. Please bring your own laptop; our computer supply is limited.

Maker Sundays

Come together to learn, play, and build with littleBits at the Main Library in Youth Services. Each month will be a different design challenge. Open to all skill levels, ages 8 - 17 and caregivers.

Every Child Ready to Read 2016 Spring Workshops
Every Child Ready to Read is a national early literacy program of free workshops for parents and caretakers of children from birth to age 5. Early literacy skills lead to lifelong results. There are four workshop topics, each with a different activity, a free book, and a kit to take home. Great program!
