Greek Festival in New Orleans

43 Years and Going Strong!

May 26, 2016
Join the fun on Bayou St. John at the 2016 Annual Greek Festival! It's all about great Greek food, live music, entertainment, and family fun.

Featuring plenty of homemade traditional Greek food and wine, and desserts, desserts, desserts! Enjoy live traditional Greek dancing, performed by the Hellenic Dancers. Plus, a live Greek band will be playing on the Bayou so you can get your Greek on! Tour the beautiful Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, visit the kids area, get the annual poster, and visit the Greek grocery with delectable cheeses, dips, spices, and much more. For more information be sure to browse the website!

Here is some of the fun planned for kids and families:

•Athenian Playground - Fun amusements and food for picky eaters (hot dogs, for kids only). Located right next to the Bayou (look for our Mount Olympus climbing wall) — your kids are sure to have a great time!
•Mount Olympus Climbing Wall - Do you have what it takes to climb Mount Olympus? Our favorite Athenian Playground attraction offers 400 square feet of climbing rock standing twenty-four feet into the air, with four degrees of difficulty that the entire family can enjoy.
•Take a Canoe out on the Bayou - Rent a canoe and float down Bayou St. John. Canoes provided by Canoe & Trail Adventures.
•Face Painting & Kid Crafts - Let the artist in your family create an original treasure!
•Inflatable Fun - A small inflatable bouncer for the little ones ages 2-5 years old; and a fun long slide for the older kids.
