Greater New Orleans' Best Public High Schools

Education is one of the greatest gifts we give our children. So choosing the right school for them tends to be on the top of our list. The more we know about our choices in schools, the better we can help our kids. The U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Rankings for 2015 came out today, so I thought I would share.

U.S. News & World Report ranks public high schools nationwide every year. In their 2015 report, they analyzed 29,070 U.S. public high schools and 90 Louisiana schools made their rankings. Here is how our local public high schools rank:

TOP 5 IN LOUISIANA
Benjamin Franklin High School #89 nationwide, #1 in Louisiana
Patrick F. Taylor Science & Technology #92 nationwide, #2 in Louisiana
Lusher Charter School #185 nationwide, #3 in Louisiana
Haynes Academy For Advanced Studies #189 nationwide, #4 in Louisiana
Thomas Jefferson High School #753 nationawide, #5 in Louisiana

Overall, Louisiana had 4 gold, 5 silver and 81 bronze medal schools. Read more here.
